Meteora at Taipan, USJ 9

Hiya folks,

It's been awhile since my last post. Just overcome my previous vacation fever. Anyway, new post means new place & food! Does Meteora rings any bell to you? If you're thinking about Linkin Park album, then you're wrong since that album has nothing to do with food. lol

Meteora has been operating in Taipan for awhile now. I often pass by the cafe whenever I went to nearby Murni & La Cochina but the urge to visit them wasn't strong enough until days ago. Me & my mum along with my sis went there for dinner. Parking here quite hectic during peak hours but not as bad as SS15.

The interior of this cafe look amazing with posters that some of you can relate with childhood days like comic covers & movies. Here they served western food like pasta, burgers, grills & churros.

I rarely share my piece of mind on drinks as my usual drink will always be good ol' sky juice but here they have Salted Caramel Hot Choc. We ordered that & share some sip. Creamy, sufficiently thick hot choc but with a teeny weeny hint of salted caramel. A decent hot choc drink but the downside was salted caramel presence are hardly detected.

After gone through the menu, we decided to go for The Baconator burger, Mimi had a little lamb & 7 sticks of churros. 1st, the burger. A cheeseburger with slices of beef bacon & caramelized onions. At a glance it does looks small but it was enough for sharing. The patty was thick. The saltiness of the bacon goes well with the burger. Patty was homemade with herbs infused, moist & tender. It was cooked medium to retain the juice & moist. It was good. Comes with herbs fries.

Next is Mimi had a little lamb. Basically it's a grilled lamb rack on a bed of mashed potatoes with slices of red capsicum & carrots & 3 types of gravy; mushroom, mint, & bolognese. The lamb was well done. Not too tender though by still chewable. I like the mint sauce as it goes well with the lamb. The mashed potatoes reminded me of Chilli's.

Lastly, we had churros as dessert. You can choose either 3 or 7 sticks. Churros rolled with cinnamon sugar comes with butterscotch & choc dipping sauce. It was one of the best churros i ever had. Crunchy on the outside & soft on inside plus it wasn't oily & dry. A must try.

So far it's a good dining here. Next time i'm definitely go for their pasta. Plus there are plenty of choices to explore.
