Flicker's Diner at Citta Mall

Hiya folks.

Sitting in the heart of Ara Damansara, there is an eco shopping mall called Citta Mall. Not really famous for its high range of boutiques but it offers kind of escape from your normal hustle & bustle crowded shopping mall. Restaurants like Chili's, Bubba Gump, Wondermilk & Kelantan Delights located here minus the queue. Now, there is a new restaurant joining the list called Flicker's Diner. 

Established by a group of friends, this restaurant offers western food with a bit of difference from existing restaurants. Flicker's offers pasta, pizza, burger & grills. A bit of everything, flicker's style.

The menu, as per mentioned, offers pasta, pizza, burger & grills. Quite a lot of choices for hungry customers.

Here, they have cakes counter as well. Not as much as some other places but certainly some choices for the sweet tooth. 

Dessert Counter

We didn't get lost in the menu but since there are only 3 of us, we decided to share our meals. We ordered Flicker's Royale Pizza, Big Daddy's Joe burger, and a slice of Famous Gula Melaka Cake. The cake was decent. The gula melaka flavor was mild & might took awhile to taste it. Topped with caramelised almond slices that added the extra flavor & texture but somewhat overpowering the gula melaka taste.

Flicker's Royale pizza is a loaded pizza with meat. Kinda like their signature pizza. Topped with beef pepperoni, turkey ham, trio of mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, olives & tomatoes. For base sauce they use homemade pomodoro sauce. The base is thin crust & really crunchy. However the sauce was a bit light & mild & overpowered by the bell pepper taste. The meat provided all the proteins & extra seasoning for this pizza.

Burger is always my favorite guilty pleasure meal. I guess i grew up with it (my size will be the proof). Flicker's Big Daddy's Joe added to my list of must eat burger. Beef patty, drenched with homemade chili con carne, it will definitely will get you messy. The perfect seasoning of the patty combined well with the tangy chili con carne, with the fiery jalapeno, it was really nice. Patty was perfectly juicy as well. Served with fries & onion rings.

This place location might be a bit elusive for customer as it is located on the 1st floor right next to Subway. Still need a revisit since the pasta & grills aren't yet tried.

Double A Cafe at Ara Damansara

Hiya folks.

Remember about my post on that brownies by Gula Cakery? and that cakes by Cake Jalan Tiung? If you haven't tasted the cakes from them, fear not as there is a new cafe opened at Pacific Place, Ara Damansara that bring desserts from aforementioned to you called Double A. My officemate, who is a big fan of dessert as well as brownie by Gula Cakery recommended this place. Before this, Double A only serve desserts but now, they started serving hot food from their kitchen so that was enough reason for us to go there for a visit. 

Their interior approach was simple & modern. Not too much fiddling except for some frame of arts on the wall. 

We went at night so not many desserts left but there are some cakes from Cake Tiung available.

Not much on the menu. Probably still on the introduction stage. They have normal cafe offerings like pasta & sandwich.

We ordered their signature Double A trouble fries, Grilled pesto chicken sandwich & Spaghetti Aglio E Olio with pan fried Salmon. Their Double A trouble fries didn't disappoint. Recommended for sharing. Grilled fries with diced tomatoes salsa, jalapenos, crispy beef bacon & cheese sauce.

I personally fancy their Grilled Pesto Chicken Sandwich. The bread was toasted nicely until crispy. Succulent chicken slices with plenty of homemade & flavorful pesto sauce with melted cheese. Served with chips & salad.

Their Spaghetti Aglio E Olio with Pan fried salmon was off the menu. So i'm not sure until when they going to serve this dish on the menu. The portion was quite satisfying for average eater. Aglio Olio was ok to me with a bit of heat. Salmon was fried nicely with crispy skin. Not too strong on their garlic though.
