Last time it was quite hard to find mexican food here in Malaysia. The only place we can find mexican food was in Chili's & TGI Friday but only limited to tacos, quesadillas & fajitas. Nowadays, Tacos & Burritos are quite often seen on the food truck like Cowboy Food Truck serving good tacos. But somewhere in Taipan, USJ 10, there is a restaurant dedicate themselves serving mexican food plus some other western food as well called Las Carrestas. They are one of the earlier establishment that serves mexican food. They have few branch as well but subang is much more nearer to me.
There are quite a number of dishes on the menu but I only snapped the mexican menu. They have dishes from tacos to chimichangas. Unfortunately we didn't order any mexican food since my mom & brother afraid of the spiciness. lol.

So we decided to order the Deep fried calamari, Beef Back Ribs & Bistek Solomo aka Sirloin Steak. I'm sharing with my mom since my mom won't be able to finish her dish. They serve a basket of nachos with salsa dipping sauce on the house. Nachos was crunchy & lightly salted. Dipping sauce was good.
On the house starter.
The calamari arrived first as starter. It was quite basic but pleasant. Calamari wasn't rubbery. Lightly salted with tartar sauce & garlic mayo on the side.

First of all, the beef back ribs. Served with a house salad & jacket potato topped with sour cream. Two ribs covered in smoked BBQ sauce & marinated with Jalapeno & spices . The sauce was sweet & smoky. However the meat didn't fulfilled the 'meat fall off the bone' requirement but it was still good as the meat was quite tender but not as tender as the i had before.
Beef Back Ribs (RM 47.90)
My brother had their Bistek Solomo aka Sirloin Steak; 230 grams of meat grilled to perfection. Sides are salad & baked potato. The steak was succulent & tender. My brother wanted it to be medium well & it was perfectly executed. Complete with smoky flavor & seasoning.
Bistek Solomo (RM 41.90)
Since I have a thing for mexican food & my curiosity got the better of me, a second visit will commence soon. Price wise, similar to those Chili's & TGI but more focus on mexican food.
