Stacks by Las Vacas at IOI City Mall

Hello Folks.

True story, i never eat or set foot at Las Vacas. I passed the place few times & put on a dream of eating at the place but so far still haven't achieve it. Folks at Putrajaya welcome a new super huge mall called IOI City Mall few months ago. It is really huge that you will tire your feet walking before you even finish exploring it. Of course, when there's a new shopping mall, there will be a whole lot familiar & new place for eat as well.

My friend, Huda dragged me to try a new place called Stacks which apparently run by the same owner of Las Vacas. Unlike Las Vacas where the major food are steaks, here they served mostly burgers & sandwiches with other mains like Beef Brisket & Lamb Shoulder. At first I was more intrigue with their front neighbor, Magnum Cafe but after took a glance at the menu, i decided to go for Stacks. Hence, began my journey at Las Vacas. Well, close enough.

The menu

After browsing the menu for quite some time, we decided to go for their Wagyu Burger & 12 hours slow cooked Beef Brisket Sandwich. I never tried Wagyu steak before so this is my first time trying it. The burger was massive. 300 grams of wagyu patty topped with a choice of melted cheddar or blue cheese, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes & crunchy yet fluffy sesame bread. The patty was good & grilled perfectly with a hint of smoked aroma. However, unlike places like Chili's, there are no donners here which means you cannot choose how you want your meat done. The patty will be prepared well done. On the side, you will be served with crispy seasoned tortilla chips.

My friend tried their BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich. You have a choice either to make it a sandwich or order the brisket for yourself. Slices of beef brisket, topped with shredded beef brisket & homemade coleslaw, it was heavenly. 12 hours slow cooked BBQ smoked Beef Brisket! The meat was perfectly done with smoked BBQ flavor. Soft & succulent. The coleslaw didn't made the bread soggy & not overpowered the meat taste. Baguette was toasted nicely as well. Served with the same tortilla chips.

We had a satisfied lunch here. According to the guy in charge, they will bring popular steaks by Las Vacas here in the next few weeks. So folks in Putrajaya, Kajang, & Bangi won't have to drive to KL to get a taste of Las Vacas steaks.
