Nutmeg at Bangsar Village II

Howdy Foodies.

Do you know the best thing about waking up early (like early as in 8 am)? It was the breakfast waiting for you. Good day always start with a good breakfast. One of the place to find a good breakfast is in Bangsar. Not only you can find local food like nasi lemak but also western food like French Toast.

One of the place to have a good breakfast is Nutmeg. This place is quite popular especially during breakfast. This place offers western meal & desserts. After 10 am, sometimes it was hard to get a table. After picking up my sis from her shift work, we went there around 945 am so there are still few tables available.

It's been awhile since we last visit this place & they have improved their desserts & cakes selection. From your normal Cheesecake to rare cakes like papaya cake, they have it here.

Plenty choice of cakes.

One of cakes that caught our attention was Milo Dinosaur. We just couldn't resist so we ordered one slice while waiting for our breakfast to arrive. A slice of cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is a good start. Well, we usually drink milo for breakfast, right? The cake was excellent. Moist, soft & almost flourless milo cake covered with a layer of milo infused chocolate topped with milo powder & crumbs. It was heavenly.

Here, their Brioche French toast is one of the best. Crunchy crumbs with thick, fluffy & moist toast on the inside. Topped with a dose of maple syrup, almond flakes & powder sugar, accompanied with dark chocolate ganache & vanilla ice cream. The ganache was bittersweet & compliment the dish very well.

My mom & sis went for their big breakfast. You can choose how your eggs to be done, between fried mac & cheese & hashbrowns, and salt beef slice or smoked salmon. It was meant for sharing hence the name. Toast with lamb sausage, baked beans with cherry tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, beef slice, fried mac & cheese with a chili salsa & poached eggs. It was decent. All elements are well cooked. It's best to eat after you break the poached eggs to release the yolk.

Big breakfast (RM 27)

I'm not sure if their breakfast menu available for the whole day but they certainly have other dish for order after 1130 am which i have yet to try. That's a ticket for me to come back here soon.
