Restoran Subang Ku at Subang Airport (Opposite)

Hi Folks.

In my introduction post, I've mentioned that I'm not a crustacean eater due to allergy. But, that didn't stop me from enjoying seafood altogether as there are still fish, squid, shell fish, & etc for me. Hm, i do sound like a monster saying things like that. There are a lot of seafood restaurants here in Klang Valley even though it is quite far from the sea (the nearest is 2 hours drive, i think). Pricewise, depend on places.

My family are a seafood lover especially my dad & bro. Both of them will savor the crabs while us watching. lol. We went to this place just opposite Subang Skypark. It's your typical seafood restaurant with a touch of chinese cooking. So expect no Patin masak tempoyak here.

I think this place is quite famous with a lot of cars parked outside here. The tables almost fully occupied as well. Live fish such as Garoupa, Snapper, & Siakap are on display for choosing. After browsing the menu, we decided to order Kung Pao Lala, Stir fried Beancurd, Chili Crab, Butter Prawn, & deep fried breaded squid for 6 people. All dishes are in medium size.

First the Chili Crab. I didn't eat it but i did managed to scrap some of the gravy from the crab. A dried chili gravy but not too spicy. It was pleasant. 1 kg of crab = RM 68. The size was decent as well. Quite cheap from some other places.

I'm a fan of lala dish. My favorite always be dried chili lala but we tried something new which was Kung Pao lala. The soy sauce was good & not spicy at all. Probably not enough dried chilis inside the dish but still a nice dish. Lala was cooked perfectly as well. One thing that i applaud for this dish was the lala was cleanse thoroughly until there are no mud/sand in the dish. Some of the places i've been, one or two lala will still have the mud inside but not in this place.

Kung Pao Lala

I have a mixed feeling for their Deep fried Breaded squid. The squid was fried perfectly. Not too chewy. However the breaded was a bit bland. Luckily they provide a sauce for dipping. Certainly lack a bit of edge on this dish.

Next is the butter prawn. Same as the crab, i can only sample the fried butter egg surrounded the prawns. It was sweet & pleasant with less oil. However my dad said the prawns was a bit small for his liking.

Butter Prawn

Lastly, we had stir fried Beancurd. Slices of Japanese Tofu fried with oyster sauce & minced chicken & mixed veggies. Tofu was soft yet not easily turned to pieces whenever it was scooped out of the plate. Sauce was nice as well.

Overall it was a decent dining for us. Even though all dishes are medium size, it was enough for us as the portion was quite big. We might return for the fish next time.
