Food Trucks & Sangkaya at The School, Jaya One

Good Day Folks.

As we all might have known, food trucks around Klang Valley are everywhere. Some operated in subang, damansara & even Bangsar. Some of us might not have the chance to catch them on their normal operating hours (lunch time & dinner time) due to distance, location & even traffic. But what if I told you, there is a day that almost all food trucks gather at one spot for specific of time every week? Instead of driving around from place to place for different food truck, you can get them all under one roof. Then head down to Jaya One every Sunday starting lunch time till onwards to catch those food trucks!

Jaya One is a compilation of building blocks housing offices, mall & cafes. Situated there is Malaysia very first enrichment mall called The School. Food Trucks gathered there in front of the main entrance every Sunday. To get more info on which trucks are available, follow them on their Facebook/Instagram. Besides food truck, there are also stalls selling homemade food & cafes. Plenty of option for food goers.

There are total of 5 food trucks on my previous visit; Cowboy Food Truck, Bubble Tea, OMFJ, Wheeloaf & Dr. Mak Rony. Me & my friend only managed to try 3 food trucks. We had Chuck Norris & Chic Tacos from Cowboy Food Truck, Mighty beef Panini special from Wheeloaf & Berry Burst from OMFJ.

Chuck Norris (RM 19.90)

Chic Tacos (RM 12.90)

Previously at Wheeloaf, i tried their grilled cheese sandwich which left me with good memories. This time around I ordered their Panini Special. Since we already had chicken tacos, we decided to go for Mighty Beef; shredded BBQ beef with salad, aged cheddar cheese sandwiched between panini bread then toasted to perfection. It was quite good. Panini was soft yet crisp. Served with crispy nachos drizzled with cheese sauce.

Mighty Beef (RM 13.90)

For drinks, since it was a hot day, we decided to go for cold pressed juice at OMFJ. I've heard about this truck but never had the chance to try. OMFJ stands for Oh My Fruit Juice, i think & they serves mainly juice. After browsing the menu, I decided to go for their large Berry Burst.

The menu

Berry Burst made of Bananas, Ginger, Strawberries & Oranges. It was refreshing indeed with no added sugar plus all those fibers from the fruits. All fruits combined well.

After finishing your meal, why not save some space for a dessert. On a hot day, ice cream would be good. Luckily, Sangkaya branch just located nearby like 30 seconds walk from the school. Easy to spot if you know Salf N' Koffie cafe.

Here is not crowded plus with plenty of parking space. As for the mall, don't expect too much of it. No designer shop like MNG. For foodies, plenty of option.
