Grease. (No, not the movie)

Let me start with my 1st post. Well, 2nd actually if the intro is counted. Recently, a lot of cafes & restaurants have been popping out of nowhere in Shah Alam. What once known as a place with a lot of roundabouts (still are!) and mamak restaurants (still are!), there have been some changes going on. One of them just located almost behind where i lived. It is called Grease. Some old folks might remember the movie but i can assure you, it's nothing like that although the food are more closer to the movie origin, USA. Not a lot places serve cheese-steak here in Malaysia and they are one of the few. I heard about this place from a friend of my sister & been following them on their instagram @grease_my.

The restaurant entrance. Opening hours is 6pm till midnight. Might be full during peak hours.

This is actually my 3rd visit here. I've been addicted to their Chilli Cheesesteak. It was good. Bun filled with homemade cheesesteak topped with chili (beef in a chili tomato ragu) with cheese sauce & shaved cheddar. Yes, a calories powerhouse but i'm hungry! So i ordered just that, again.

The Chili Cheese-Steak. Comes with seasoned fries. (RM 20)

Next the appetizer, well, sort of. Chili Nachos. Topped with same Chili except with beans on the cheesesteak with a touch of sour cream. Beware though, the after-heat of the chili might be too much for some. Don't worry, plain water is free! Best to finish this quickly as the sauce might make the nachos going soggy.

My mom loved their burgers. The patty is homemade filled with herbs & seasoned to perfection. Not too big like some of the burgers out there but fulfilling indeed. Their burgers are called Greasy Messy Burgers. My mom tried their mushroom burger. They certainly not stingy with the cheese sauce. It was overflowing.

Overall, it's a good & cozy place to eat. I will pay them a visit again for their dessert. Anyone passing by Shah Alam may want to try this place. Remember, opening hours is 6pm till midnight.
